A Letter from Beverly Parrish
Beverly Parrish is the Mississippi Baptist Student Missions Coordinator.
Dear Parents,
We are so glad that you are interested in learning more about Mississippi Baptist Student Missions. Whether your son or daughter is just considering serving or whether he or she has already been appointed, you play a really important role in his or her experience. When a student decides to serve God as a student missionary, it is often the biggest step of faith they have taken so far—and, we recognize, it is a big faith step for parents as well! Perhaps more than any other time in American culture, parental influence is one of the biggest factors in how college students make decisions and what they decide to do. Therefore, we want you to know as much as you want to know about our program, about what your son or daughter will be doing this summer, and about how you can support him or her.
We have included here a list of the questions we are most commonly asked by parents and our answers to those questions. We also encourage you to explore the rest of our web site. Take a few minutes to look at the information that is available to students and to churches—it will help you have a greater understanding of who we are and what we do.
If, at any time, you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail. We are here to serve your student and you.
Sincerely,
Beverly Parrish
