Students serving as Mississippi Baptist Student Missionaries are supported either by funds raised each year by BSU students on MS college and university campuses or by assistance provided by their church.
Students serving in North America: Fully funded by Student Missions Fund and NAMB
Travel to and from the field of service is provided
All orientation expenses provided.
Insurance provided.
Baptist students serving in North America are co-appointed by the North American Mission Board (NAMB). NAMB provides a $75/week stipend, paid at the end of the term of service.
Students serving Internationally: Partially funded by Student Missions Fund
Students are responsible to secure and pay for: Travel, Insurance, Field costs. The field costs amount will be found in the job description.
Scholarships available. Students who complete all application materials prior to the December 5, 2011 deadline and are approved for service by the Collegiate Ministry Department will receive a scholarship from the Student Missions Fund based on the length of service. Scholarship money will be sent to BSU director or church minister in mid-late April.
2012 Scholarship amount is $75/week.
