2 Males & 2 Females
June 8 - August 3
Discover the world in one big, beautiful city. The Greater Toronto Area is the most ethnically diverse urban context in the world. Half of the 7 million people who live here were born outside of Canada. 230 different nationalities are represented, and over 200 languages are spoken here daily. With only 3% evangelical Christian, the opportunity to serve and to share the love and light of Jesus is great. GenSend immerses you into an urban context where you’ll learn how to live life on mission as a team. We want you to use your unique skills, passions, and creativity to figure out ways to further the efforts of local church plants across the region to engage a community for the sake of the Kingdom. You’ll discover practical ways to show the compassion of Jesus to your neighbors. GenSend is designed to foster skills and self-discovery that you can use in any future ministry context. We're looking for learners who value diversity. We need self-starters who will take the initiative to create weekly ministry rhythms and implement steps to reach team goals. Students who will thrive in GenSend value working in a team dynamic and are intentionally relational, always looking for ways to build bridges to gospel conversations. Prior to coming to the city, you will be expected to complete assignments in practical missions training and participate in team video calls with the city coach.
