Vancouver has a population of more than 3 million. It’s a city of several cities: Richmond, Steveston, New Westminster, Burnaby, Surrey and Pitt Meadows. Dozens of communities are along the transit line, each with its own personality and spiritual typography. Successfully reaching the people here will take churches that reflect the ethnic makeup and culture of the communities where they are planted. GenSend immerses you into an urban, multicultural context where you’ll learn how to live life on mission as a team. We want you to use your unique skills and creativity to figure out ways to further the efforts of local church plants to engage a community for the sake of the Kingdom. GenSend is designed to give you skills and self-discovery that you can use in any future ministry context. You’ll discover practical ways to show the compassion of Jesus to your neighbors. We’re looking for creative collaborators who value diversity. We need self-starters who value team and community.  Students who will thrive in GenSend Vancouver are intentionally relational, flexible, and comfortable looking for ways to build bridges to gospel conversations. Prior to coming to the city, the team will walk through missions training together in an online portal and will participate in individual and team Zoom calls with the city coach.
