The team from Immanuel Baptist Church in Olive Branch, MS, arrived on Saturday and our evangelism campaign week here in León is in full swing! It's been so much fun to pray with the team, and they have already been an encouragement to me.
The last few days have been a major departure from the work we have been doing this summer. I had the opportunity, along with Janna (our IMB missionary here) and another student, Alexis, to have a Bible study in a women's rehab center. We’ve also begun saying our goodbyes to the children.
As it's our last week here, I've begun to think about what lessons I need to take with me and apply to my life in the U.S. One thing that God has continued to press on my heart is that if I am able to share the gospel in another language, which doesn't come easily for me, then I have no excuse not to be sharing the love of Christ every chance I get back home where I fully comprehend the language. This experience has inspired me to have more of a passion for the lost, and it has reminded me of the power of prayer. Please continue to pray for the ministry here and for these people who mean a lot to me.
