The Lord’s Faithfulness

This has been a crazy week! This Sunday we worshipped at the church again and one woman accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. We had the opportunity to make better connections with the students at the church by having a Bible study after service. We also spent the day at the beach grilling and playing volleyball and that was a good time of rest after a week of work.

Wednesday, we went to the longhouse to have a celebration. It was so much fun! We drove up and everyone from the longhouse was all dressed up in their traditional Iban clothes and they took turns doing traditional dances. We had a time of worship, and one of the pastors spoke and some of our team shared. Fifty-seven people accepted Jesus into their lives that night! Please pray for these new brothers and sisters, that they would be discipled and grow in their faith.

At the end of the week, we took a ferry to another longhouse and stayed the night. Most living in this longhouse are Christian, and we had a service Friday night with them. It was fun to be able to stay with them.  The hospitality shown to us everywhere we've gone has been very humbling.

Some of the girls from our team went to a house on the beach Sunday and were welcomed in by the man and his wife who live there. They own a small resort where people can come and rent bungalows. They are very sweet and hospitable, and seem open to talking about spiritual things. Please pray that we would be able to visit again and have meaningful conversations with them and their family members.

Thank you so much for all of your prayers. Our team is doing well and the Lord is faithful. We have one week left before we leave so pray that the Lord continues to use us and present opportunities for us to minister.
